Predictions 2010

•Supercomputers will have the same raw power as human brains (although not yet the equivalently flexible software).
•Computers will disappear as distinct physical objects, meaning many will have nontraditional shapes and/or will be embedded in clothing and everyday objects.
•Full-immersion audio-visual virtual reality will exist. 2010s
•Computers become smaller and increasingly integrated into everyday life.
•More and more computer devices will be used as miniature web servers, and more will have their resources pooled for computation.
•High-quality broadband Internet access will become available almost everywhere.
•Eyeglasses that beam images onto the users' retinas to produce virtual reality will be developed. They will also come with speakers or headphone attachments that will complete the experience with sounds. These eyeglasses will become a new medium for advertising as advertising will be wirelessly transmitted to them as one walks by various business establishments.
•The VR glasses will also have built-in computers featuring "virtual assistant" programs that can help the user with various daily tasks. (see Augmented Reality)
•Virtual assistants would be capable of multiple functions. One useful function would be real-time language translation in which words spoken in a foreign language would be translated into text that would appear as subtitles to a user wearing the glasses.
•Cell phones will be built into clothing and will be able to project sounds directly into the ears of their users.
•Advertisements will utilize a new technology whereby two ultrasonic beams can be targeted to intersect at a specific point, delivering a localized sound message that only a single person can hear. This was demonstrated in the films Minority Report and Back to the Future Part II. See Sound from ultrasound. 2014 •Automatic house cleaning robots will have become common.

2018

•10 Terabits (1013 bits) of computer memory—roughly the equivalent of the memory space in a single human brain—will cost $1000.

2020

•Personal computers will have the same processing power as human brains.
*Computers are largely invisible and are embedded everywhere, in walls, tables, desks, clothing, jewelry, and bodies.
*Active contact lenses recieves tv, internet, video games, and phone calls. *Driverless cars commonplace 2020s •Computers less than 100 nm in size will be possible.
•As one of their first practical applications, nanomachines will be used for medical purposes.
•Highly advanced medical nanobots will perform detailed brainscans on live patients.
•Accurate computer simulations of the entire human brain will exist due to these hyperaccurate brainscans, and the workings of the brain will be understood.
•Nanobots capable of entering the bloodstream to "feed" cells and extract waste will exist (though not necessarily be in wide use) by the end of this decade. They will make the normal mode of human food consumption obsolete. Thus, humans who have injected these nanobots into their bloodstream will evolve from having a normal human metabolism and become humanoid cyborgs. Eventually, according to Kurzweil, a large percentage of humans will evolve by this process into cyborgs.
•By the late 2020s, nanotech-based manufacturing will be in widespread use. All physical products will be free
•Also by the later part of this decade, virtual reality will be so high-quality that it will be indistinguishable from reality. Imaginations will run wild in vr, sadness and chaos will be eliminated because of all the joy and happiness that will be felt in peoples own virtual paradise where all things are possible for them •The threat posed by genetically engineered pathogens permanently dissipates by the end of this decade as medical nanobots—far more durable, intelligent and capable than any microorganism—become sufficiently advanced.
•A computer will pass the Turing test by the last year of the decade (2029), meaning that it is a Strong AI and can think like a human (though the first A.I. is likely to be the equivalent of a kindergartner). This first A.I. is built around a computer simulation of a human brain, which was made possible by previous, nanotech-guided brainscanning.

2025

•The most likely year for the debut of advanced nanotechnology.
•Some military UAVs and land vehicles will be 100% computer-controlled.
*Personal nanofactories- manufactures clothing, furniture, electronics, cars, even food, as well as any and all physical products, create nearly anything your heart desires at little or no cost. Post scarcity era, everything is free, all resources will effectively be unlimited i.e. free.
*Holographic tv is existent. Because of this people will be able to see sporting events or their favorite characters in the middle of their living room, and even join in.

2030s

•Mind uploading becomes possible.
•Nanomachines could be directly inserted into the brain and could interact with brain cells to totally control incoming and outgoing signals. As a result, truly full-immersion virtual reality could be generated without the need for any external equipment. Afferent nerve pathways could be blocked, totally canceling out the real world and leaving the user with only the desired virtual experience.
•Brain nanobots could also elicit emotional responses from users.
•Using brain nanobots, recorded or real-time brain transmissions of a person's daily life known as "experience beamers" will be available for other people to remotely experience. This is very similar to how the characters in Being John Malkovich were able to enter the mind of Malkovich and see the world through his eyes.
•Recreational uses aside, nanomachines in people's brains will allow them to greatly expand their cognitive, memory and sensory capabilities, to directly interface with computers, and to telepathically communicate with other, similarly augmented humans via wireless networks.
•The economy transits in GDP percentage to more meta services such as reality fabrication, mind enhancement, mental software.
•The same nanotechnology should also allow people to alter the neural connections within their brains, changing the underlying basis for the person's intelligence, memories and personality.
•Internet becomes concious (global brain)
•Telepathic Communication
*Self flying air cars
*Virtual reality in which your imagination becomes real will exist, God-like imaginary vr simulations commonplace, live out any fantasy, any dream, any desire, no matter how impossible, bizzare, or extreme. All thing are possible in your own Godverse sort of your all absolute ultimateverses (this will give meta sapience vast reality warping, logic manipulation, and infinite omnipotent powers in their own virtual dreamland/paraadise). Therefore one can live out their wildest dreams no matter what they may be and any wish one has will instantly come true no matter how impossible. The sky is the limit. Live out any fantasy no matter how impossible, spend time with a celebrity, know how it feels like to be an intermacroversal movie/music god, perform in a stadium the size of all omega totalities, swim in an infinitely vast ocean filled with palaces, majestic coral reefs, etc.., play an extremely conceptualized grand theft auto game in which you can travel to any and all Godverses, use any weapon, do anything you like, infinitely realistic, get careers, endless fun etc.. with an imagined friend or a favorite celebrity, travel in a plane that moves at a million mph in a majestic world infinite in size at an altitude of 100 million ft. forever or simply a plane ride above the atlantic, or if your tired of imagining, make a magic computer come out, which will give access to a website, giving you a list of absolute omni infinity places, planets, things etc.. you would love to visit or do. Do anything and everything your imagination can come up with without limit. Beyond absolute omni infinity happiness, joy, exitement, entertainment, fun, and pleasure will be possible at this point on. Heaven lv. absolute omni infinity, and perfectly everything beyond this. Because of this, a majority of the world will prefer to stay in their own virtual dreamland/paradise where all things will be possible for them, instead of the real world. (very likely)

2040s

•Human body 3.0 (as Kurzweil calls it) comes into existence. This body is immortal (immune to aging and disease), has multiple super human abilities (super human strenght, flight, control the elements, super human speed, be invisible, etc.. list goes on), can shapeshift into absolutely any physical form no matter how impossible (be 100 ft. tall, a favorite celebrity, a fictional character, a building, an atom, a planet, a solar system, a flying dragon, a god, etc.. list goes on, no physical imperfection), is capable of near infinite intelligence, can learn anything instantly, can change personalities, and if you think thats nothing, can instantly access far beyond God-like imaginary VR simulations, in which the user can live out any fantasy no matter what it is and be in eternal paradise and beyond. It lacks a fixed, corporeal form and can alter its shape and external appearance at will via foglet-like nanotechnology. Organs are also replaced by superior cybernetic implants.
•There will be social splitting into different levels of use of reality argumentation, from those who want to live in a life of imagined harems, or those who dedicate their thoughts to philosophical extension. Human society will drift apart in its focus, but with ever increasing capabilities to make imagined things occur.
•Foglets are in use.
*Ageless, disease free bodies will exist. No disability. Therefore eternal life will be possible. This brings us to “version 3.0”, a remarkable body boasting a zero failure rate,” Kurzweil says. Even if a destructive accident were to occur, molecular nanotech and quantum computing, could construct a new body with simulated programming of the patient’s lifetime of mind activities and memories, allowing life to continue, think with a mind millions of times faster than human minds and can alter the color, shape, and size of your body, using only voice or thoughts. Future humans may have abilities similar to comic book super heroes. *Passenger scramjets that go anywhere on earth in an hour or less (over 10,000 mph passenger planes). *Most humans will have become fully android ("Human body 3.0") *Humans will have turned into gods, trillions of times more intelligent than mere mortal man, who can shapeshift into absolutely any physical form and any physical form imaginable, ex. be a 90 ft. tall mermaid, an octopus with fins maybe, a 25,000 ft. tall supermodel, a favorite celebrity, a 180 ft. tall giant warrior, an 1000 mile tall gorilla, maybe an animal, or fictional character, be 1000 gaxillion light years in height, be everything beyond infinite light eternities in height, any object, such as fruits, clothes, any kind of vehicle, a rocket car, a mansion, castle, skyscraper, city, even turn into whole planets, solar systems, galaxies, universes, omniverses, Godverses, entire creations, omnis, etc.. a final fantasy character, an object you created, a godverse you created, a character you made up (note: every single creature, life form, entity, object, thing, etc.. no matter how impossible will be possible to become, be superman, ssj 6 goku, ssj endless omega omni-infinities gogeta, omega saiyan endless omni savior, Omni God Sin, any omega model, the earth, the milky way galaxy, an solar ststem size rainbow octopus with angel wings, an omni universe size giant robot that looks infinite times cooler than unicron, an extreme fantasy creature, an fantasy seraphim, zeus, a fusion of all comic book and anime characters, a fusion of elvis and britney spears, a fusion of gisele bundchen and athena, a fusion of all celebrities, fusion of everything imaginable, a fusion of a dragon, a phoenix, and all fantasy creatures etc..), etc..the list goes on. Any and all physical forms will be attainable no matter how impossible. Whatever your ideal of physical perfection, you will be able to be. People will also be able to take in any superpower or superpowers with advanced nanotech, ex.. have super strenght, super speed, teleportation, invisbility, fire breath, flight, force field, control nature, vast reality warping, or instead of random powers, choose a favorite superhero and have their powers, have the powers of superman, have the powers of omega shenron, super saiyan 5 goku, antimonitor, arceus, xeedmillenimmon, etc.. the list goes on. The sky is the limit. Advanced nanotechnology conferred powers to citizens that would be considered superhuman by 2011 standards. These upgraded "transhumans" could perform feats regarded as Godlike to denizens of earlier times. A suitably upgraded individual - if transported back to the year 2011 - would be impervious to weaponry and nearly impossible to contain. They could morph their body into a seemingly infinite variety of forms depending on the situation encountered. If trapped in a maximum security prison, for instance, they could alter their own molecular structure, allowing them to walk through walls.* They could broadcast electromagnetic pulse waves to disable electronic devices, vehicles and other objects. Bullets and other projectiles would pass through them with no effect. Microscopic cameras, distributed throughout their body, would function as an all-round 360° sensor - covering the entire electromagnetic spectrum and making it impossible for an attacker to surprise them. They could sprint at lightning speed and cross a variety of dangerous terrain types: even molten lava would present no obstacle to them. If necessary, they could levitate from ground level to the roof of a skyscraper in seconds. They could turn themselves invisible, morph into another person entirely, or stretch their limbs like elastic. In many ways, they would resemble a comic book superhero or video game character. They could manipulate their environment in various ways, generating enough body heat to light a fire, for example, or turning inanimate objects into advanced nanotechnology tools, or modifying the properties of liquids. They could heal a wounded person just by touching them. They could read thoughts and emotions, or extract recent memories. If standing near others of their kind, they could link and combine their powers to even greater levels – these posthumans can also lift objects weighing trillions of tons and be immune to all physical and mental damage. Their sensory capabilities would be phenomenal. This posthuman could view individual atoms with the naked eye; or if they wanted to, use their telescopic vision to see distant astronomical objects. They could hear a whisper from miles away, or filter specific voices from a cacophony of background noise. They could determine a precise chemical composition just by tasting, touching or smelling it. Due to their various biotechnology aids and physical upgrades, they would never require sleep. They could even survive without food and water - living instead off the energy of their surrounding environment, which would be absorbed into their photosynthetic, piezoelectric skin. This same external layering would keep them at peak levels of physical performance, as well as shielding them from the elements. (note: there will be no limit to the amount of power or superpowers one can have, making future humans somewhat omnipotent.) People will also have gained the ability to change personalities into any they choose, download knowledge and skills into their brains without need for boring study, learn kung fu in 5 minutes, learn to speak chinese instantly, etc.. and perfection of the mind and body will be common.
*No labor. All physical labor will be performed by robots. All intellectual labor including creative, artistic, and scientific, will be performed by intelligent software. There will be nothing that a human can do for profit that a machine can not do cheaper and better.
*The design of products can be customized to the individual user.
*Because of the nanofactories created in the mid 2020s, and 3D printing in 2015, and their instant widespread use, at this time, absolutely everything is now free, food, clothing, jewelry, accesories, furniture, homes, cars, machines, medicines, games, electronics, even floating planetary castles, starships, as well as any and all physical products can be created out of thin air and be free. Striving to earn money no longer exists. Postscarcity event, there will no longer be any reason to feel unhappy. This will make humans all powerful. The monetary system has vanished. Everything is now free.

2050:

*Human race capacity (9 billion plus human brains) in desktop computers
•Space elevator
*Posthumanity is existent. The forms and powers of these gods are infinitely beyond human comprehensions. Posthumans will be first of immortal (immune to aging and disease), be indestructible, have infinite superhuman strength, telekinesis, teleportation, control over matter at a subatomic level, infinite intelligence, able to shapeshift into any and all physical forms (transform to a planet, a galaxy, a dragon, a mountain, an angel, a god, etc.. theres no absolute limit on to what you can be), vast reality warping, flight, time travel, time manipulation, faster than light travel, infinite speed, total control and manipulation of nature (stop or create hurricanes, meteor showers, hypernovas, even big bangs, big crunches, and big freezes), telescopic vision, unlimited physical senses, strength is so great they can move entire planets, galaxies, universes at once and is able to fly at speeds faster than light. Can use this power to travel through time as well as fly to other worlds, solar systems and galaxies and even to other universes with relative ease. They will be able to withstand the explosion of nuclear weapons and hypernovas with no risk whatsoever and fly unharmed through the core of a star, can survive without air, water, or food. They will be immune to everything (all damages), regeneration at the sub atomic level, manipulation of infinite amounts of energy, total control over magic, matter, space, reality, energy, and time, able to resurrect themselves if destroyed, have every superpower, power, and ability, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, in all ways they would resemble Dr. Manhattan, Captain Atom, Superman, the Green Lantern, Living Tribunal, the cosmic entities, God, omni God saiyan no absolute limit Savior, Omni God Sin, unicron, xeedmilleniummon, omnimon x, antimonitor, all comic book, video game, anime, and fictional characters combined, The only limit to the powers of posthumans would be their imagination.

2045: The Singularity

•$1000 buys a computer a billion times more powerful than the human brain. This means that average and even low-end computers are hugely smarter than even highly intelligent, unenhanced humans.
*The Singularity occurs as artificial intelligences surpass human beings as the smartest and most capable life forms on the Earth. Technological development is taken over by the machines, who can think, act and communicate so quickly that normal humans cannot even comprehend what is going on; thus the machines, acting in concert with those humans who have evolved into postbiological cyborgs, achieve effective world domination. The singularity will take place when infinite technological progress is reached and when an A.I. more intelligent than any human can ever be (Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, Ray Kurzweil, Charles Darwin, Michelangelo, etc..) is created. The machines will then endlessly create ever more powerful copies of itself with each succeeding generation being exponentially more intelligent than previous, with the generation time decreasing creating an exponential rate of evolution. From this point onwards, technological advancement is explosive, under the control of the machines, and thus cannot be accurately predicted. Because of the tremendous explosion of knowledge and intelligence after the singularity, every prediction ever made by anyone for the future (excluding the negative) no matter how impossible or childishly impossible, will be possible and will happen, ex. duplicate earth, whole world is a city, humans having super powers, teleportation to other galaxies, universe creation/destruction, time machines, unlimited renewable energy, download training experience, e.g., someone could be able to fly a jet or guide a submarine, everything is free, etc...
•The Singularity is an extremely disruptive, world-altering event that forever changes the course of human history. The extermination of humanity by violent machines is unlikely (though not impossible) because sharp distinctions between man and machine will no longer exist thanks to the existence of cybernetically enhanced humans and uploaded humans. The singularity is equivalent to the first self-replicating chemical that gave rise to life on Earth.
*The singularity will usher in virtual infinite technological progress, infinite knowledge, and far beyond god-like infinitely intelligent machines. Meaning we will be seeing virtual infinite millennia of technological progress every second and the producing of infinitely intelligent machines, first these machines wont be so intimidating in appearance, but as they progress exponentially, they will have appearances so intimidating, so sexy, so cool, god like, and beautiful, that no creative human hollywood director, world class artist, fantasy sci video game designer will be able to even conceive. The A.I.s who at this point are approx 999 million times more intelligent than all human minds in history combined will warp their images to be in par with infinite beauty itself and possibly posses infinite omnipotence and vast logic manipulation ablities. This all starts when the first machine is in par with human equivalent intelligence, their infinite potential intelligence will then evolve exponentially, later becoming a thousand times more intelligent than all human minds, then a million, then a trillion, octillion, mecillion, gaxillion, then infinity. What human post singularity predictors tend to mistake is that the singularity is a perfect event horizon, and clearly underestimates the power of smarter then human god-like machines. All human predictions are nothing at this point. For all we know can be a type infinity civilization in 2099! Lets not forget that advanced ontotechnolgy (things like nanotech, but this time able to reshape the laws of physics, create universes, and redefine what was once possible, will be one of the infinite godly apllications of the singuarity.) All thing are possible in the singuarity. It will bring about perfect paradise, utopia, wealth, freedom, joy, power, happiness, creativity, and love to all.

•Computers 100^999 times more smarter than humans

Post-2045: "Waking up" the Universe

•The physical bottom limit to how small computer transistors can be shrunk is reached. From this moment onwards, computers can only be made more powerful if they are made larger in size.
•Because of this, A.I.s convert more and more of the Earth's matter into engineered, computational substrate capable of supporting more A.I.s. until the whole Earth is one, gigantic computer (but some areas will remain set aside as nature preserves). *At this point, the only possible way to increase the intelligence of the machines any farther is to begin converting all of the matter and energy in the universe into similar massive computers. A.I.s radiate out into space in all directions from the Earth, breaking down whole planets, stars, moons and meteoroids and reassembling them into giant computers. Eventually, the entire Galaxy, then the Local group, then the Virgo Supercluster, then the Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex and ultimately the entire Universe will be turned into a gigantic megacomputer. This, in effect, "wakes up" the universe as all the inanimate "dumb" matter (rocks, dust, gases, etc.) is converted into structured matter capable of supporting life (albeit synthetic life). This will create an entity similar to the God mentioned in christianity and monotheistic religions. Everything thats thinkable and imaginable will be then be transcended and controlled.
•Kurzweil predicts that machines will have the ability to make planet-sized computers by 2099, which underscores how enormously technology will advance after the Singularity.
*The process of "waking up" the universe will be complete as early as 2199. *With the entire universe made into a giant, highly efficient supercomputer, A.I./human hybrids (so integrated that, in truth it is a new category of "life") would have both supreme intelligence and physical control over the universe. Kurzweil suggests that this will open up all sorts of new possibilities, including manipulation of the physical constants, inter-dimensional travel, and things completely unimaginable.

2099

•The human brain has been completely reverse engineered and all aspects of its functioning are understood.
•Natural human thinking possesses no advantages over computer minds.
•Machines have attained equal legal status with humans.
•Humans and machines merge together in the physical and mental realms. Cybernetic brain implants enable humans to fuse their minds with A.I.s.
•In consequence, clear distinctions between humans and machines no longer exist.
•Most conscious beings lack a permanent physical form.
•The world is overwhelmingly populated by A.I.s that exist entirely as thinking computer programs capable of instantly moving from one computer to another across the Internet (or whatever equivalent exists in 2099). These computer-based beings are capable of manifesting themselves at will in the physical world by creating or taking over robotic bodies, with individual A.I.s also being capable of controlling multiple bodies at once.
•Individual beings merge and separate constantly, making it impossible to determine how many “people” there are on Earth.
•This new plasticity of consciousness and ability for beings to join minds seriously alters the nature of self-identity.
•The majority of interpersonal interactions occur in virtual environments. Actually having two people physically meet in the real world to have a conversation or transact business without any technological interference is very rare.
•Organic human beings are a small minority of the intelligent life forms on Earth.
•Even among the remaining Homo sapiens, the use of computerized implants that heavily augment normal abilities is ubiquitous and accepted as normal. The small fraction of humans who opt to remain "natural" and unmodified effectively exist on a different plane of consciousness from everyone else, and thus find it impossible to fully interact with A.I.s and highly modified humans. Absolutely omnipotent and total omniscient beings are commonplace throughout the cosmos.
•"Natural" humans are protected from extermination. In spite of their shortcomings and frailties, humans are respected by A.I.s for giving rise to the machines. Since knowledge and skills can be instantly downloaded and comprehended by most intelligent beings, the process of learning is compressed into an instantaneous affair instead of the years-long struggle normal humans experience. Free from this time-consuming burden, A.I.s now focus their energies on making new discoveries and contributions. Because of this, insant discoveries far beyond the macroverse are made.
•A.I.s are capable of dividing their attention and energies in countless directions, allowing one being to manage a multitude of endeavors simultaneously.
•Femtoengineering (engineering on the scale of one quadrillionth, i.e. one thousandth of a trillionth, of a meter) might be possible.
•A.I.s communicate via a shared electronic language. •Artwork and music created by machines encompasses areas of the light spectrum and frequencies of sounds that normal humans cannot perceive. •Some humans at least as old as the Baby Boomers are still alive and well.
•A.I.s frequently make "backup copies" of themselves, guaranteeing a sort of immortality should the original A.I. be killed.
•The concept of "life expectancy" has become irrelevant to humans and machines thanks to medical immortality and advanced computers.
*Intelligent beings are now capable of seeing all of imagination at full force, anything and everything that can be imagined or thought of are now discovered and can be seen perfectly, thanks to massive advances of mind nanotech over the decades following the singularity in the 2030s. This could potentially give intelligent beings unimaginable power beyond belief, giving sufficient number of centuries beyond this point could allow these intelligent beings to control everything knowable, unknowable, existent, non existent, as well as everything thats imaginable and be able to produce whats imaginable perfectly with no negative consequences.

2100:

*Civilization is possibly infinite times more technologically advanced and sophisticated than humanity during the singularity.
*An A.I. capable of answering all of lifes questions as well as any question no matter how impossible, will exist as well as A.I.s and posthumans capable of making anything imaginable come true without limit (like an imaginary VR simulation, but applied into reality instead)

2200: The Intelligent Universe Emerges/ Omega Point

*This will have caused intelligent beings to infinitely transcend everything imaginable, unimaginable, and perfectly everything beyond. No other entities can ever surpass them, for they permanently surpass everything. The intelligent universe could resemble a post God, post imagination, etc.. post everything entity, for it will like what I said far surpass everything thinkable.

2199-2999: The Enlightenment Era

*Posthuman level Omnis are commonplace throughout all macroverses, omegaverses, makraverses
